Inter refuse to give up on signing Luka Modric and their dream of signing the Croatian midfielder could be helped along by the fact Real Madrid are interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen according to a report from Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Modric’s agents will speak with Real Madrid officials after tomorrow night’s UEFA Super Cup tie with Atletico Madrid and will push for their client to be allowed to leave to join Inter.

The report does however go on to report that Spurs have placed a huge €200 million price-tag on the head of their Danish playmaker, a figure that Real Madrid deem far too high for the 26-year-old who has also attracted interest from French giants Paris St Germain as per other reports currently circulating.

Unless a suitable replacement is found by Los Blancos, Inter can kiss goodbye to the idea of signing Modric this transfer window.
