Inter top transfer target Luka Modric and his agents will go to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and request a transfer away from the Santiago Bernabeu but will not push it so hard due to the difficulty of the operation at hand a report from Sport Mediaset suggests.

Modric and his agent’s fear that pushing it would antagonise the Real Madrid hierarchy and in the event of no deal being done with Inter, it would then make things awkward for the Croatian in the Spanish capital.

At the moment, the report goes on to state, Real Madrid are unlikely to facilitate Modric’s transfer due to not having a suitable replacement lined up despite still having just over two weeks to find one until the Spanish transfer window closes. Inter do not have the luxury of having two weeks to get a deal done however due to the fact the Italian transfer window shuts on Friday.
