Italy’s top three papers Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport are in agreement that tomorrow could be a decisive day in the Luka Modric to Inter transfer saga.

Modric is currently in Tallinn, Estonia for the UEFA Super Cup and tomorrow upon returning he should finally get the chance to meet with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. The Croatian has made his desires very clear to his agents and Inter and tomorrow’s planned meeting will be a last attempt of sorts for him to reiterate his desire to leave after several trophy laden years at the Santiago Bernabeu for a new challenge due to the fact the Italian transfer window shuts on Friday.

Modric may have to go down the route Cristiano Ronaldo did to exit the club wherein he comes out publicly confirming he considers his cycle with the club as finished, something the Portuguese did after the UEFA Champions League final back in May. If Modric does this it could allow for Inter to finally start talks with Real Madrid.
