Vrsaljko Trying Hard To Be Available For Sassuolo-Inter

Inter new boy Sime Vrsaljko is hard at work trying to make himself available to Inter manager Luciano Spalletti for this weekend’s Serie A opener with Sassuolo according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The right back, who was part of the Croatia side that finished as runners-up at this summer’s World Cup, only began training ahead of the new season last Friday and the Milan based newspaper go on to suggest that the match might come just too soon for the 26-year-old, who is unlikely to even see just a few minutes of action at the MAPEI Stadium, a place he is no stranger to having played for Sassuolo between 2014-2016.

While Vrsaljko is not definitely out, one player who definitely is is midfielder Radja Nainggolan. The Belgian continues to recover from a thigh injury sustained a month ago that has caused him to miss Inter’s last five pre-season encounters.
