Italian sporting director Stefano Antonelli previewed the Serie A season which is due to begin on Saturday.

“This year everything is abnormal, so many things have been done that we did not expect. Serie A is back to being among the best three leagues in the world,” he began in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

“On the last day I do not expect things to be clamorous. Naploli has made a choice, that is to maintain a well-established staff and the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti is the guarantor of all this project De Laurentiis has. He has done extraordinary things and this year the Neapolitans will do well in the league. Last year they closed the gap and will finish in the top four.”

Antonelli concluded by speaking on both Milan clubs and the effect of what they have done in the transfer window.

“Inter and Milan have both strengthened a lot.”
