Time is running out for Inter in their bid to sign Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and according to a report from Sport Mediaset published today, Modric and his representatives will meet with Los Blancos bosses today to try and break down the wall put up by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez which is preventing Modric from leaving the club.
The Croatian international as per various reports in recent weeks is looking for Perez to honour a gentleman’s agreement they have which, if honoured, would allow Modric to move on to a new challenge at Inter, who have been on his tracks for a few weeks now.
The transfer market in Italy closes tomorrow at 8PM local time which forces Inter to fight against the clock in the event that today’s meeting between Modric and Perez presents an opening which would then allow the Nerazzurri to make their move for the 32-year-old.
