Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri appeared as a guest on a Calciomercato broadcast and spoke about the transfer that Inter and all of its fans were hopeful about although it never actually came to fruition: Luka Modric.
The former Nerazzurri stopper stated that “He is a unique player, right now he is the best in his position, he knows his role and would have added a lot of quality and would have been perfect for Inter’s midfield, which, to me, seems to be the weakest part of Spalletti’s team.”
Afterwards, however, the ex Inter player recognizes the accomplishments and successes of Inter’s transfer market: “overall they have had an excellent transfer window, the quality of this team has definitely risen with all of these new acquisitions.”
Over the Summer, Inter have made seven new additions to the squad and have strengthened very intelligently in what many would call the best transfer window that Inter has had since the 2009/2010 season.
