Fabio Capello discusses his skepticism about the failed transfer of Luka Modric to Inter in an Interview by Radio Deejay during ‘Deejay Football Club.’
The former Real Madrid coach stated that: “To be honest, I have never believed in the possibility of his arrival at Inter. Part of the reason would be that Florentino Perez had already lost Cristiano Ronaldo this Summer and if he had lost Luka Modric too it would have been very difficult for him to be re-elected as Real Madrid president. The team is used to making some great signings and this time there were none.”
However, the non-arrival of Modric does not affect Capello’s overall opinion on the Nerazzurri transfer market as he applauds the hard work that the club has done over the Summer transfer window: “Inter is more ready now than ever to be a real threat to Juventus’ dominance in the Serie A. We also can’t forget about Milan.”
