The Chief Executive Officer of Juventus, Giuseppe Marotta, spoke to Sky Sport Italia before Juventus’ first game of the season against Chievo Verona at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
The Juventus CEO answered questions from the studio about which team he thought had made the better purchases and which team had strengthened the most this during this summer’s transfer window to which he responded by speaking positively about Inter and their acquisitions: “In the last 2-3 years Inter have been gradually growing and improving as a team, and this Summer they had a very strong transfer window with fantastic signings like that of Stefan De Vrij on a free transfer from Lazio.”
In conclusion Marotta was asked if he thought Inter could stop Juventus from winning the Serie A to which he replied: “I am not going to say that Inter are the only ones, simply out of respect to all the other clubs in the Serie A but I think the Nerazzurri and Juventus will be competing for the Scudetto this season.”
