Luka Modric has completely exonerated Inter from any wrong doing when trying to sign the Croatian midfielder from Real Madrid Spanish media outlet Don Balón report.

According to the report the former Spurs midfielder appeared in front of FIFA and “hurt Real Madrid President Florentino Perez thanks to an unexpected confession.”

Don Balon continue that: “To the surprise of the Real Madrid President, Modric confessed that it was not Inter who looked to sign him, as the Nerazzurri were fully aware that they would not be able to submit an offer to Real Madrid to buy the Croatian whose price tag is over €150 million.

“On the contrary, Modric admitted that he was the one that put himself in contact with Inter, a team that he has dreamed of playing for since he was a child and that three of his compatriots are currently playing for. The Croatian midfielder stated that he was available to force his way out from Real Madrid. All of this became unnecessary when the Los Merengues proposed a new contract” Don Balón reports.

In doing so Modric has completely exonerated Inter from all wrong doing confirming that it was he who contacted Inter, via his agents, and not the other way around. As of yet there is no news of how Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has reacted to Modric’s actions.
