La Liga outfit Valencia have decided to activate the redemption clause of Colombian central defender Jeison Murillo Spanish media outlet El Desmarque report.

According to the original deal between Valencia and Inter, the La Liga outfit loaned Murillo on a two year deal with a forced option to make the deal permanent that had to be paid by the end of June 2019. However, the Spanish side have decided to activate the clause now and pay the €12 million now instead of by the end of next June.

The former Granada player has therefore signed a 4 year deal that will expire at the end of June 2022 and Valencia have included a €80 million minimum release fee clause into the deal should anyone be interested to acquire the player’s services.

Murillo joined Inter in the summer of 2015 for a reported €8 million fee including €2 million in add-ons and featured 65 times across all competitions for the Nerazzurri scoring thrice over the following two seasons before moving back to Spain last summer.
