Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri does not believe that Inter have it in them to win the scudetto due to a number of different factors.

“I do not think Inter can go for the Scudetto and that is not only down to the fact that they did not manage to sign Luka Modric. Despite reducing the gap with Juventus, the Bianconeri have themselves reinforced also and still remain in front of everyone,” Ferri, who spent 13 years on the books of the Nerazzurri between 1981-1994 making just shy of 300 league appearances, revealed in an interview with Radio24.

Ferri, who is now the head of Inter’s American academy based in Florida, then spoke on Inter club captain and star man Mauro Icardi and how he may fare this season in the race to win the Capocannoniere award for a second time.

“I place him among the top scorers in the league,” Ferri concluded.
