Sassuolo’s Kevin Prince Boateng spoke to the media following his side’s 1-0 victory over Inter on the opening day of the 2019/19 Serie A season.
“I am happy to be back in Italy, we had a good game, we suffered because Inter are a strong team but we made it clear that we want to play and have fun,” the Ghanaian, who completed a surprise transfer to the Neroverdi over the summer, said in the interview with DAZN.
Boateng, who is traditionally an attacking midfielder, proceeded to discuss his new role as a striker at the Neroverdi as well as targets he has for the rest of the season.
“I like the new role that I am playing it, it is perfect for me to play up front it was something that I did when in Spain.
“How many goals do I want to score? I do not know but I want to do better than last year. As for the team, we worked well during pre-season and we want to win the matches against the top teams.”
