Former Inter and Torino defender Nicolas Burdisso spoke on the situations of both teams heading in to Sunday’s match between the two.

“Mazzarri has been in Turin since January and has been transmitting his philosophy for many months, and this summer he has been able to work on building a team according to many of his indications. The other certainty is given by the experience of some of the players Sirigu is an absolute guarantee, N’Koulou has grown in an exceptional way as has De Silvestri. The transfer market has been quite important. I see the strength of the team growing, and I see Mazzarri’s work bearing fruit,” Burdisso said on the Granata in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport before speaking on Inter.

“Inter can challenge for the scudetto but only if Juventus has a bad year. The Bianconeri with CR7 are clearly ahead of everyone else. Everyone knows Inter has had a great mercato. Spalletti plays a nice attacking game, one that gives more freedom than Mazzarri’s game. much. I’m glad that they are back in the Champions League. Inter still has a place in my heart but so does Toro, Roma and Genoa. If they [the fans] see that you give everything, you immediately become one of them.”

The Argentine central defender concluded by discussing who he would rather have in his team, Mauro Icardi or Andrea Belotti.

“If I am the president of a top club who must win something right away, I take Icardi, if you have the time to grow though it would be Belotti. They are very similar strikers.”
