Serie A’s main sponsor Telecom Italia, better known just simply as TIM, have changed their strategies and it will affect no less than 14 of the 18 Serie A clubs – including the likes of Inter, Juventus and Roma – according to a report from Milano Finanza.

TIM have decided they would rather be partners of the teams and would like to propose to clubs that they would like to produce football related content rather than being just a simple sponsor listed on each club’s respective sponsorship lists.

TIM have been involved with the sponsorship of Italian football for 20 years now and extended their sponsorship agreement with the Lega Serie A for a further three seasons just last month. The new agreement however now only sees them sponsor Serie A and Primavera football as they lost out on the chance to continue sponsoring the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa competitions for the next three years.
