More and more reports coming in suggest that Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 are pondering a move for Inter’s Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario.

German media outlet Spox.com confirms this but reports further that the deal is completely dependent on what Bayern Munich’s Sebastian Rudy decides to do. The Bayern midfielder is yet to decide which club to transfer to next and is choosing between RB Leipzig and Schalke and that only if Rudy would decide to move to Leipzig would a move for the former Sporting man become a reality.

Schalke have made it clear that they are on the look-out for a midfielder but prefer to sign a player already adapted to the Bundesliga as opposed to bringing in a player that has never played in the league before.

Joao Mario and Inter have made it clear to each other that they both wish to part ways but have been unable to find a new club that suits both the player and the club.
