Sunday’s encounter between Inter and Torino will just be the second time manager’s Luciano Spalletti and Walter Mazzarri cross paths.

Their previous and only meeting on the touchline came last season and it was Mazzarri who came out on top as he lead Toro to a 1-0 victory over the Nerazzurri with thanks to a goal from former Inter winger Adem Ljajic.

Mazzarri may have the bragging rights but Spalletti has other thoughts on his mind other than getting back at him as per a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Inter have several other things with which to deal. For example, this season promises to be more intense than the last. There is a return to the Champions League to handle and including all the new signings and veterans from the World Cup in some way. Spalletti has never yet coached the ‘real’ Inter in his head. Perhaps he will start doing it today or tomorrow, with Nainggolan returning to full capacity. After all, this is Spalletti’s first thought.”
