Corriere della Sera have looked at strikers Mauro Icardi and Andrea Belotti, the focal point of the Inter and Torino sides who will lock horns on Sunday night at the San Siro.
“Inter and Torino both started with a defeat and without scoring a goal. They cling to their strikers and captains to find them their first points of the season. Inter were beaten by Sassuolo on the opening weekend and soon assaulted by doubts about their ability to succeed but they have the certainty of Mauro Icardi, top scorer in Serie A last season (alongside Ciro Immobile) with 29 goals. As for Belotti, this must be the year for him to recover after last season was marked by injuries and only 10 goals.”
CorSera remind that Icardi and Belotti are of course two of the most expensive strikers in the world with release clauses of €110 million and €100 million respectively, both only valid for clubs outwith Italy.
