Inter’s home opener is set to be watched by 60,000 spectators on Sunday night, a figure achieved largely with thanks to Inter’s great loyalty policy that they have in place Corriere dello Sport believe.
For the past three seasons Inter have had the best fan base in Italy and since the 2014/15 season when the average attendance was just over 37,000, Inter have steadily built that up to an average attendance of just over 57,000.
Last season Inter had upwards of 60,000 at the San Siro on no less than six occasions last term and one such occasion coincidentally comes against Sunday’s opponents Torino where some 71,581 turned up.
In comparison to the opening home match last season, Inter have witnessed a sharp increase and an extra 9000 fans at least will be there on Sunday in contrast to the 51,752 crowd that took in the home opener with Fiorentina last season.
Moreover, Corriere dello Sport report that Inter have sold each and every season ticket, a figure round about 37,000.
