Spalletti Intends To Recover Joao Mario Unless He Leaves Inter

It is becoming increasingly likely that Joao Mario will still be with Inter as transfer windows across Europe close in a week’s time according to a report from Tuttosport.

The Portuguese is understood to have knocked back a few offers from Turkey – including one from Besiktas – due to the financial situation in the country and given no more offers arrive before windos shut, the Turin based newspaper understand that manager Luciano Spalletti has every intention of recovering the 25-year-old and counting upon him as an alternative option in the midfield this season, or at least until January anyway.

Joao Mario, who joined back in 2016, is low in the pecking order at the club, a situation not helped by his words over the summer about the club and Italian football, and it will take a lot of hard work to win over fans again who in fact booed him when he played during pre-season.
