Tacchinardi Sees A Huge Gap Between Juventus & Inter

Speaking to Radiosei, former Juventus defender Alessio Tacchinardi was asked for his thoughts on the situation at Inter: “Spalletti’s team disappointed me against Sassuolo, but I still regard them as the anti-Juventus in the championship.

“The certainly have the second best squad in the league. That said, Juventus are still clearly stronger. The other squads have improved and must work hard to raise the bar. This championship is now full of great players.”

The former defender, who represented Italy on 13 occasions, was speaking in reference to Inter’s poor showing against Sassuolo on the first matchday of the Serie A season. A strong transfer campaign fill the Nerazzurri with confidence, but a strong Sassuolo brought them back down to earth with a 1-0 victory in front of their home support.

Spalletti will be eager for his team to bounce back this week, when they meet Walter Mazzarri’s Torino in front of 60,000 fans at the San Siro.
