Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio: “Modric Who?”

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio stopped by Sky Sport Italia moments before kick-off int he Serie A fixture between Inter and Torino at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

Ausilio began by talking about the recently concluded transfer window stating that: “We did what we had to do and what had been agreed together with the coach. We have set up a team that in our opinion is well equipped. I consider the defeat against Sassuolo like an injury. There can be a defeats, but this does not mean that the quality of this team can be put into question at all.

Has the transfer window in terms of sales been closed too?

“This does not depend on us. We think that there is a place for Joao Mario here, no one has shown him the door, we have received offers whichhe has also welcomed. However, he is happy here, I can see that when he trains.”

How close were you to signing Modric?

“Who?”

Will you try to sign him again in January?

“No, look, we are happy with the players we have. We are complete.”
