This season Inter coach Luciano Spalletti has an abundance of options in attack in comparison with last season with Yann Karamoh, Antonio Candreva and Keita Balde all expected to start on the bench in tonight’s Serie A clash when the Nerazzurri host Torino at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that this abundance has been delivered due to it being expressly requested by the former Roma coach: “Spalletti wanted more options on the attacking wings and so Politano and Keira were added to Perisic, Candreva and Karamoh. The former Lazio player was brought in last and preferred over a central midfielder, Vidal, by the Nerazzurri coach.

“A choice that was made towards the end of the transfer market, when only one friendly match left to play, the one against Atletico Madrid. Moreover, Keita has the characteristics to play not only on both wings, but also as a first and second striker. He will begin as a 12th man, but obviously with the goal of entering as soon as possible into the startin lineup” the Corriere reports.
