Inter defender Stefan de Vrij has revealed he and his teammates are well aware that they have to do better going forward having picked up only one point from their opening two Serie A fixtures in an interview with Sky Sport.
“We know we have a strong team and we can do very well but we also know we have to do more than what we have done in the last two games. We have to look forward and concentrate on the next matches, the first two did not go well but now it is in the past and what Spalletti has said to us will be very useful.”
The Dutchman was then asked if he had a preference between playing in a three or four man defence.
“A three or four-man defence? It Is all the same to me, last year I always played in a back-three so I got used to that formation. In previous years though I played in a four, so I can do both.”
