Pepe is at work trying to convince Inter midfielder and Portuguese international teammate Joao Mario to join him in Turkey at Besiktas according to a report Turkish news outlet Fanatik.
Joao Mario has already knocked back a proposal from the Black Eagles as per the report but Pepe has now been tasked with trying to make the 25-year-old re-think his decision.
The report goes on to state that Besiktas officials have begun preliminary negotiations with their Inter counterparts over the former Sporting Lisbon ace and they have until Friday’s transfer deadline to get a move done.
Besiktas are not the only club to have shown an interest in Joao Mario over the course of the summer transfer window. Spanish duo Real Betis and Sevilla have been quoted as being interested and while Sevilla have cooled their interest, there is still a chance that Betis could make a move but that largely depends on whether they are able to land Rafinha from Barcelona or not.
