Inter legend Luis Suarez believes it will be extremely difficult for Inter to mount a challenge for the Scudetto if they were to lose against Bologna this weekend.

“Neither of the two teams have played very well so far. I am honestly a bit worried, because if Inter were to lose even against Bologna, the gap from those who are aiming for the Scudetto would be almost insurmountable after only three games. No one expected that Luciano Spalletti’s team would like this and if it were to go badly on Saturday, I do not know how it will end,” a concerned Suarez revealed in an interview with Il Resto del Carlino.

Suarez proceeded to recall some of the battles he had with the Rossoblu during the days of Grande Inter in the 1960s.

“They were the years of great fights and Bologna gave everyone a hard time then. It was a team full of some great friends, despite the many battles on the field…Pascutti, Janich, Perani, Fogli, Haller and Nielsen who then came to Inter.

“The last time I went back to Bologna was for an event that remembered Giacomo, he really was the emblem of that team, for how he played, but above all for the way he behaved off the pitch.”
