Racing Club de Avellaneda president Victor Blanco believes that if the Argentine club managed to keep a hold of Lautaro Martinez for a little longer then there would be no match for them in the league.

“If you were here, the other teams would be playing for second place,” Blanco said in an interview with Fox Sports Argentina in the same show where Lautaro himself was interviewed.

Lautaro was one of seven new signings to arrive at the Nerazzurri over the summer transfer window and it is understood that La Academia had tried to postpone his exit at least until the end of the year but their efforts were ultimately in vain.
