Former Palermo and Udinese Sporting Director Manuel Gerolin, was interviewed by Tuttomercatoweb where he was asked about Inter’s difficult start: “It is too early to make final judgements. That said, five points to recover is already quite a lot. This Inter side must be confident. They were built for the Scudetto, and they must not hide from their potential.

“Spalletti must go to Bologna and win. Then they must continue to do so. We can expect the initial phase to be difficult as the side is still being broken in, but soon they will begin collecting points every Sunday. I do not believe Inter are that far away from Juventus” Gerolin continued.

The Italian was speaking following the Nerazzurri’s underwhelming start to the Serie A campaign, where they have only collecting one point from two matches. Inter face Bologna this weekend in the last match before the international break, and Luciano Spalletti will be desperate to secure the three points.
