Former Italian international striker Eder, who left Inter to join Jiangsu Suning FC this past July, was interviewed by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, where he spoke on among other things why he left the Nerazzurri.

The former Sampdoria man began by talking about his last season at Inter stating that: “We were a group, a real group. Sure, last season Mauro [Icardi] was decisive on many occasions, but we returned to the Champions League thanks to the team being united.

“Yes, leaving Inter was very difficult, but I wanted to try this new experience. When I presented with this possibility to go to China Inter told me: ‘either go there or stay here. Don’t go any other place.’ When you move to China there is the economic side of it but if you dont enjoy it and feel bad it is not good. In fact we have a strong staff and all the conditions to feel good. I am very impressed by the high level. Many people might think that I’ve come here for the money, but it is also important to feel well, play and enjoy yourself. I have played against lavezzi and Pato, when I return I will mett up with Guarin. I also spoek with Graziano [Pelle], he is happy too. Also, my dad can see the matches on TV in Brazil, so Chinese football is growing, there is a great organization” Eder continued.

In conclusion Eder was asked about Inter’s start to the season stating that: “We’re only at the beginning of the season. The team has changed a lot, many new players have come in. In the long run it will be the Inter that Spalletti wanted, a team that can fight and play to win the Scudetto.”
