Italian journalist Matteo Marani has praised Inter for finding a way to find the back of the net without relying on Mauro Icardi this season and paid particular attention to the 3-0 win over Bologna at the weekend.
“Inter have shown that even without Mauro Icardi they know how to score, as evidenced by the goal of Antonio Candreva. The way they attack has changed compared to a few years ago. Those who do not want anyone around in the box are likely to go out of fashion, today you need goals from the midfield. This is modern football,” Marani remarked in an interview with Sky Sport.
Marani also spoke on Radja Nainggolan opening his Nerazzurri account in the match with the Rossoblu.
“It is a very good goal and it is also important because it comes from the player that was wanted at all costs by Luciano Spalletti,” he concluded.
