Sassuolo owner Giorgio Squinzi has teased Luciano Spalletti following the Neroverdi’s latest win over Inter but admits that the club are in safe hands with majority shareholders Suning.

Squinzi, a lifelong Milan supporter, revealed in an interview back in May that he commemorates every victory Sassuolo secure over the Nerazzurri by hanging a plaque with the date and result of the match in his office, before joking that he was beginning to run out of space.

Having learned that Inter would face Roberto De Zerbi’s side on the opening weekend of the new season Spalletti joked that his players needed to make life easier for Squinzi by winning at the Mapei Stadium, but once again it was Sassuolo who prevailed.
