The wife and agent of Inter captain Mauro Icardi, Wanda Nara, made her debut as a pundit on Italian TV show Tiki Taka last night where she was asked about a wide variety of questions.
Wanda was asked about the physical status of the Nerazzurri captain to which she replied reassuring all Inter fans stating that: “He is already in the USA with the national team where he is expected to play against Guatemala and Colombia.”
She was then asked about her thoughts on the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo has not scored yet as well as how Icardi gets when he doesn’t score she replied: “Cristiano is not one who doesn’t sleep when he doesn’t score. I disappear when Mauro doesn’t score, I make myself scarce [laughs]. We don’t have a table of the goalscorers at home, I hope he scores more than Cristiano [this season]. Maybe the photo’s Cristiano puts up on Instagram from training sessions are for marketing purposes because all players train the day after a match.”
Wanda was then asked about the transfer window and the rumors regarding Juventus’ interest in her husband and if he would have accepted an offer from the Bianconeri stating that: “I don’t know, I can say that the only contact that Mauro has had with Juventus are the 7 goals he has scored on them. Mauro has demonstrated his choice to everyone, of course during the transfer window offers arrive. No, he has always demonstrated that he is Inter’s captain.”
She was then asked about the rumors from last summer that Napoli were interested in Icardi confirming the interest stating that: “De Laurentiis is a good person, I have known him. There was interest in Mauro from Napoli and I think that they made an offer to Inter too. The final decision always rests with Mauro.”
The former Argentinian showgirl was asked about Inter’s new signing Radja Nainggolan to which he replied: “Many teams wanted him, he has an enormous potential and he demonstrated this in the first match he played [against Bologna]. We are all happy that he is with us at Inter. If a football player arrives on time to training, the things he does are things that concern him and that’s enough said. No-one can talk about Nainggolan who followed the team against Sassuolo.”
In conclusion Wanda was asked if she regrets posting something with her husband to which she replied: “When Mauro and I were not together yet I published a picture of him diving off a boat and he was fined by Ausilio, because he could get injured. It was the only time I regretted a post. The picture of the zebra form last summer? After many hours of flying it was the first animal I saw in South Africa.”
