After winning the hearts of Inter fans when joining the club this past January, Nerazzurri supporters were begging for a permanent move to sign Rafinha from Barcelona.

Instead, the management was unable to fulfill that wish from the fans and the demands of Barcelona, who wanted €35 million in redemption as per their agreement. After a disappointing return, Rafinha had hoped to begin this season with Inter, however, Barcelona were reluctant to agree to Inter’s terms to make that happen which led to a negotiation with Real Betis.

Once again, Barcelona were unable to get what they wanted for the Brazilian midfielder, a permanent transfer. Rafinha now remains as a part of Barcelona’s squad and his inclusion in the lineup is not a favorable choice for manager, Ernesto Valverde.

Because of this outlook on Rafinha, Spanish newspaper, Sport, believes that Rafinha will remain on the market in January to finance a move for another midfielder or defender.  Nerazzurri fans remain hopeful for a return of Rafinha, whos contract runs out in June of 2020.
