Keita Balde arrived at Inter on a loan worth €5 million with the a future redemption fee set at €34 million. This high figure means that the Senegalese forward will have to assert himself to convince the club to redeem him from Monaco at the end of the season.

According to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, there is another threat for Keita Balde: Federico Chiesa. Tuttosport reports that Keita’s stay at Inter is dependent on whether or not Inter are able to bring in the Fiorentina winger. According to the report: “It is no secret that Inter and Juventus are among the clubs that are very interested in Federico Chiesa. The Nerazzurri coach has been pressing the player along with his father for months. If Inter feel like there is a concrete opportunity to sign Chiesa, Keita’s chances of staying at Inter will decrease unless an important offer for Ivan Perisic were to arrive, at which point Inter could think about the future.

“The Croatian, who will turn 30 in February, could leave and be replaced by a much younger Keita on the left and then partner him up with Chiesa on the right. By next Summer, Inter should have more economic freedom as the period under the settlement agreement will end by then” Tuttosport reports.

Meanwhile, as Lautaro is not at his best and with Icardi set to return in a week from the United States, Spalletti could still choose Keita in attack as he has done against Bologna.
