Diego Simeone’s agent and sister, Natalie Simeone was interviewed by Gazzetta dello Sport’s weekly magazine ‘Fuorigioco’ in which she discusses her relationship with Diego and the possibility that Diego could join Inter in the future.
“I have a special relationship with Diego, we are three siblings, he is the oldest, I am the middle child, and Carla is the youngest. As children we all played football together and Diego never lost. He has great respect for my profession and truly trusts me.”
He could have left Atletico but instead he ended up renewing his contract?
“Passion will always win, Diego has spent 7 years at Atletico and is currently one of the best coaches in the world. He stayed because he thought there was still work to be done, and I will follow him wherever he goes.”
In Italy his name is always mentioned, do you think there is a possible arrival for Diego at Inter in the future?
“Diego said it himself, he said sooner or later he thinks it will happen. It will be a matter of time. He likes the city and the environment. Inter is a team that he would love to coach, and he was also linked to Lazio.”
Does work and family ever crash?
“No. I would never say anything about the team to Diego, it’s not my job, we always keep family and work separate.”
