Inter attacker Keita Balde has followed in the footsteps of Matias Vecino in returning to Milan following international duty.

The Senegalese winger scored one goal in their 2-2 draw away to Madagascar yesterday and is now set to begin preparations for Saturday’s match at home to Parma.

Reports in the media have suggested that the 23-year-old may even be deployed from the beginning as a striker so to allow club captain and talisman Mauro Icardi to rest up ahead of Inter’s Champions League encounter with Tottenham Hotspur next Tuesday. Moreover, Lautaro Martinez is unlikely to recover in time for the visit of the Ducali which will allow Keita to play as a striker.

Since arriving on a season long loan from French side Monaco, Keita has made three appearances for the Nerazzurri and while yet to score or assist any goals, he has excited fans nevertheless with both his pace and trickery.
