Milan Skriniar has just returned from his international duty with Slovakia in which his national side had been defeated by Ukraine. He spoke to Slovakian news, Sporky.sk discussing the game and the defeat:

“It was a little different not having the fans in the stands, but we already knew it would be like that and we prepared for the game. We tried to keep the ball but the Ukrainian players took over, although they did not really have many great opportunities.”

Skriniar then spoke about the penalty that he gave away by fouling Andriy Yarmolenko in the box:

“I’m a defender, I can not play at 50%, I always have to give my best. We now still have two more games to play against the Czech Republic and Ukraine, it will be difficult but we have a strong team that can win and we will do our best to do so.”
