Inter’s Croatian international full-back Sime Vrsaljko was forced to leave the pitch after only 20 minutes when his Croatia clashed with Spain due to an injury problem.

Italian TV channel Sport Mediaset reported that the former Atletico Madrid player suffered an injury to his left knee which forced him to go off. After the match which ended in a humiliating 6-0 defeat for the FIFA World Cup runners up, Vrsaljko spoke to Sport Mediaset to offer some clarity as to his physical status.

“I am feeling good, this [the injury] was a problem that I already had during the World Cup. Now I have to resolve it by speaking with Inter’s doctors” the Nerazzurri full back said.

In conclusion Vrsaljko was asked if he felt any pain in his knee which Vrsaljko confirmed stating that: “Yes I felt something in my knee.”

It is unclear if Vrsaljko will be able to play on Saturday when Inter host Parma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza with kick-off scheduled for 15.00 CET.
