Manchester United’s interest is complicating a contract renewal being signed by Milan Skriniar at Inter according to a report from Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

After a fine debut season at the San Siro, the Slovakian defender attracted interest from several top clubs and Inter are understandably keen to deter the interest with a new contract.

Inter are willing to offer the centre back an annual salary of €2.5 million however Skriniar’s agent is requesting a salary of €3.5 million instead. Skriniar’s agent is asking for such figures from the Nerazzurri management due to the fact that is the amount that Jose Mourinho’s side have said they are willing to pay him to come play his football at Old Trafford instead of San Siro.

With this being the case, it is currently difficult for Inter to reach an agreement with the 23-year-old over a new and improved deal that would see him extend past his current expiry date of 2022.
