Former Inter winger Francesco Moriero believes that current Inter winger Matteo Politano is one of the most interesting talents in Italy currently.

“There is Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina, but there is also Matteo Politano of Inter. These are strong, young and interesting players but then it is up to their teams to play them. In Italy they are always focusing more on the results and this mentality slows down the growth of our young players,” Moriero said in an interview with RMC Sport.

Moriero, who spent three years at Inter between 1997 and 2000 making close to a century of appearances in that time, then spoke on the comparisons between Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo and former Inter striker ‘Il Fenomeno’ Ronaldo, both of whom are widely regarded as two of the greatest ever football players.

“There is only one real phenomenon and that was the Brazilian with all due respect to the Juventus striker,” he concluded.
