While certainly not at the forefront of things Luciano Spalletti would like to achieve at Inter this season, the idea of possibly surpassing his previous record of managing a team that has 17 different goal scorers over the course of the season is a side objective for the Inter manager according to Corriere della Sera.

So far in three games played, there have been four different goalscorers in Ivan Perisic, Radja Nainggolan, Antonio Candreva and Stefan de Vrij thus meaning 14 more different players must score to allow Spalletti to set a new personal record.

Spalletti was wanting to get Inter away from being so heavily reliant on the goals of club captain Mauro Icardi and is so far succeeding as evidenced by the multitude of different scorers. While the summer signings were brought in to ultimately improve the squad on the whole, many of them came in with a number of goals to their name. These players are Nainggolan, Keita Balde, Matteo Politano and even de Vrij, who despite being a defender has shown himself to be a real goal scoring threat at set pieces.
