Ahead of the Primavera season commencing, Inter Primavera midfielder Thomas Schiro spoke with Sport Italia on a range of topics including his personal ambitions for the season ahead.

“For the second year in a row we start the league campaign as reigning champions. I have a good feeling about this season, the team is very strong and we can reconfirm ourselves at high levels. With the new coach Armando Madonna we will try to increase playing the ball on the ground. The goal remains the same, we want to achieve excellent results and grow.

Schiro, who is an Italian youth international, spoke on the importance of wearing the Nerazzurri shirt and personal ambitions for the season.

“It [wearing the shirt] is a great stimulus. It helps us to always tackle the games to the maximum. In this season I hope to grow a lot. I will always give my best for the team to help win another Scudetto in this shirt. I also hope to have the opportunity to put myself on display more often than last year, because this year is a springboard for next year.”

Schiro then spoke on highly rated teammate Eddy Salcedo.

“He has qualities that are not found every day in players our age but there are some other very good players in the team.”

He concluded the interview by admitting he takes inspiration from Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan despite the fact they are not exactly similar kinds of players.

“Radja Nainggolan is the player who impresses me the most. We do not have similar characteristics but he is one of those players that I watch a lot in order to improve”.
