Is Inter facing a curse at the San Siro? Inter have not won a home match since beating Cagliari last season. After that 4-0 win against the Sardinians, Inter proceeded to lose against Juventus with a scoreline of 2-3 and Sassuolo with a score of 1-2, they then proceeded to end the game against Torino this season with a 2-2 draw. Tuttosport are reporting on this ‘San Siro Taboo’:

“The three games mentioned have been anything but normal. Against Juventus, Inter played with 10 men for the most part and managed to make a comeback after Douglas Costa scored the opening goal for Juventus, but ended up losing during the last few minutes of the match. Then came the game against Sassuolo in which Politano (who is now an Inter player) and Berardi scored to defeat Inter. Finally, the game against Torino in which Inter had a strong lead with goals from De Vrij and Perisic only for the team to crumble during the second half which ended in a 2-2 draw.

If Inter really want to be protagonists this season, they really cannot afford to give up so many points at home. Last season Inter was fourth in terms of home performances with 38 points out of a possible 57 (11 wins, 5 draw, and 3 losses.) In order to shorten the gap, Inter must reduce the number of wasted points.”
