Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri gives his thoughts to Radio Sportiva ahead of the Inter vs Parma tomorrow at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

Ferri argues that the Nerazzurri need to bring their A game against Parma stating that: “I believe that immediately with Parma we need a concrete Inter, an Inter that manages to make the match its own and to limit the mistakes made in the previous matches.

“It is clear that we need to evaluate the forces after the international break, especially for the big ones but the coaches know it from the beginning that in a season with the cups it’s demanding from all points of view, for the short time you have available. I think the match against Parma has priority, I’ve seen them against Juventus and has no great fear of the big teams. They are a team that plays openly and has found with the arrival of Roberto Inglese, a player who makes the department alone, there are players who can put you in trouble because they have personalities and aggression” Ferri continued.

The UEFA cup winner from 1991 continued that “Often the coaches say that the most important game is the one you have to play, I think at this point the turnover I would make would be agaisnt Tottenham, by virtue of the fact that the match with Parma must win. Inter’s advantage is that in the next five matches they will have four home games. The match with Parma is the most important to play at this time, if you need to make some sacrifices of some extra minutes for some player who must pull my breath I would think about it later, not against Parma.”

In conclusion Ferri was asked if he was worried that Mauro Icardi is yet to score this season replying that: “No, he is a player who has an important career and has a very high percentage of achievement.”
