Turin based newspaper Tuttosport are reporting on a rather strange ‘derby’ between two former Roma players: Radja Nainggolan and Gervinho.

“One is currently in Milan playing for Luciano Spalletti, while the other has left Roma because of Spalletti. It is important to clarify that it was not Spalletti’s fault that the Ivorian left Roma. Spalletti was set to replace Rudi Garcia at Roma, but 12 days before Spalletti was to return to Roma, Gervinho decided to say goodbye to everyone and accept the huge offer from Hebei China Fortune which would earn him a salary of 8 million per season.”

Tuttosport goes on to underline how Spalletti actually wanted to keep Gervinho and also talks about the importance of Nainggolan from a technical point of view for Inter:

“Today Nainggolan, who is already an idol for the Inter fans, will finally get to be acquainted with the San Siro. He already showed his quality against Bologna, where he scored the game-changing goal.”

The real Nainggolan has yet to come as he has been recovering from his injuries, he is just getting started.
