Inter were unable to build on the win against Bologna before the international break and instead surprisingly lost by 1-0 at home against Parma who recorded their first away win against Inter in the Serie A since May 1999.

The Nerazzurri moved the ball rather well and looked to be in control of things in the first half at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza but failed to convert the chances created. In the beginning of the second half Mauro Icardi came on but Inter failed to keep the momentum going and instead resorted to desperate attempts.

Instead it was Inter owned full-back Federico Dimarco, who came on as a second half substitute, who scored a dream goal from 40 yards, smashing it into the far corner and the game ended with Parma going home with all three points.
