Montella: “I Hope Italian Clubs Can Do Well In Europe”

Former Milan manager Vincenzo Montella spoke on the Serie A season so far in which Juventus have performed as expected while several sides expected to compete with them have faltered which has allowed some unfancied sides to contest at the top.

“It is proof that the Serie A is always very difficult. Ronaldo’s arrival has created competitiveness and Juventus rivals have strengthened a bit, but they have changed a lot and it takes patience. The league is at a higher level than in recent years.”

Montella, who last managed Spanish side Sevilla, then spoke on Italian clubs on the eve of the Champions League commencing and shared that he hopes the clubs can all do well.

“The Italian clubs have every chance to play on equal terms as others, and I believe that tomorrow, Inter will play a competitive match. As for Roma it will be a little more difficult. I hope they all do well.”
