Spurs Manager Pochettino: “Inter Are A Great Team, It Will Be A Very Difficult Game”

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is aware that his team are in for a tough ride when they take on Inter later today at the San Siro.

“Inter Milan is one historic club and obviously so exciting to play against…and at a place like San Siro, it is a mythical stadium. It’s such a historic stadium that smells like football and it is always exciting to play in that type of stadium. Inter have some very good players. I think it will be an exciting and very tough game.”

In an interview with the club itself during the flight to Milano, the Argentine coach stressed that it will be a very difficult game but they are confident.

“I think the most important thing is to perform well. You can have all the experience but if you do not perform in the way that you want to, it’s so difficult to win. Of course we hope and wish to have a very good performance and be close to winning.

“It will be so tough because Inter are a great team, a historic club. It will be a very difficult game. We are always confident in our quality and of course it is a great opportunity. After the defeat to Liverpool it is so important to feel victory again.”
