Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri reflected on Inter’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur last night in the Champions League in an interview with Inter TV and believes the match could be a turning point.

“Up until the end Inter had done little towards attacking the opponent’s goal and immediately then there was an incredible burst of pride. After the goal of Icardi the fans turned out to be the 12th man. This is a victory that gives a boost to morale and there are still many small details that need to be reviewed but this could be a turning point.”

Ferri, who was a centre back during his playing days, spoke on Inter’s centre back trio of Miranda, Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar.

“Having those three at the back makes you feel comfortable. They know how to defend well in one on one situations and intercept the oppositions passes. The three of them are a very strong base on which to build from.”
