BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves has admitted to being underwhelmed by Inter and their performance in their 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

“Tottenham invited Inter back to the party to an extent. Spurs were getting into great positions and should have done better with those. In the last 10 minutes you are thinking they were pressing alright, and when they went back to that three in the middle, it went disjointed again. This is probably one of Mauricio’s lowest points he’s found himself in as Spurs manager. I thought Spurs were the better team. There was a 10 minute spell they didn’t manage the game properly.

Hargreaves, who can include Bayern Munich and Manchester United as two clubs he has previously played for on his CV, then spoke on Inter.

“Inter were bang average and that is the type of game Tottenham should win but would take a draw in. Spurs found a way to give the game away at the end. I do not think Inter believed they could win the game before Icardi scored that goal.”
